DigiUni: Promoting Digital Education in Ukraine
The Erasmus+ project DigiUni, part of the Digital University – Open Ukrainian Initiative, represents an important step towards strengthening and supporting higher education in Ukraine. In close collaboration with the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv and other leading universities and ministries in Ukraine, as well as prominent European universities, including the University of Cologne, two EUniWell members are significantly involved in this project. DigiUni aims to establish a comprehensive digital education system for study and research while leveraging the synergies and resources of the EUniWell alliance.
In times of war, DigiUni enables Ukrainian students to pursue their academic goals by creating a digital platform. This platform not only promotes the digital transformation of education but also ensures continuous, high-quality, inclusive, and transparent learning, regardless of students' locations. The project's objectives include developing a digital education system that meets socioeconomic needs as well as digitising teaching and learning methods by providing the necessary infrastructure for digital learning.
The University of Cologne contributes its extensive expertise in learning management systems, digital assessment, and quality control to the initiative. This aligns with EUniWell's goal of creating innovative digital infrastructures and fostering positive synergies between various projects.
