Transdisciplinary Workshop - Recovery in Mental Health

The two-day transdisciplinary workshop “Recovery in Mental Health,” running from November 13 to 15, 2024, at the a.r.t.e.s. Graduate School for the Humanities Cologne (Aachener Str. 217), will explore key topics in recovery and mental health. Early career researchers and healthcare professionals, both national and international, working at the intersection of psy-sciences, mental health, and the humanities, will present and discuss their empirical and theoretical research.

Perspectives from people with lived experience, service users, relatives, and practitioners will be central, enhanced by keynote addresses, an opening panel discussion (evening of November 13), and a concluding roundtable (afternoon of November 15). The workshop is part of the New Medical Humanities Cologne initiative, which seeks to foster dialogue between medicine, the humanities, and the arts.

Organized by Erik Norman Dzwiza-Ohlsen, David Vogel, and Mira Krebs in collaboration with the a.r.t.e.s. Graduate School for the Humanities Cologne, the European University of Well-Being (EUniWell), the Cologne Center for Ethics, Rights, Economics, and Social Sciences of Health (ceres), and the Husserl Archives Cologne.
